Review:
I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review, all reviews and opinions are my own.

I have not read anything by this author yet, I have been wanting to start her Dark Protector series just have not yet. So when I saw this up for review I had to request it and I am excited I did I loved the writing style and the plot as well as the characters most of the time. I am glad I got to read something by this author and plan to read many more of her books.

I did have so problems with Jax he is very alpha male but in a rough and domineering way. There is a spanking scene and not in a good way where she asked for it, I know he had to do it so that she would understand there are certain troubles out there and he is trying to protect her from being killed but still there had to be another way. If I was Lynn instead of falling in love with Jax I might have done something worse to him. Lynn is a very skittish character for someone that has been on the run for her life and trying to avoid basically everyone. She is skittish because she is used to hiding and keeping her blue heart covered and taking off at any sign of a problem but she should also be stronger because of it. Which we do see towards the end when she does start to stand up for herself and the guy she is in love with.

I liked the world building and the plot of the story and where it is headed. In this plague infilled world people are going crazy and I definitely could see that happening. A good twist instead of the normal story line about zombies. I am very interested to see if they do find a cure and how they come about it. I also am excited for the next book since I want to know more about Raze. It seems like there is also a hint of a supernatural element where powers might play into this plague perhaps we will find out more in future books.
